Gold pays no interest. Lower inflation-adjusted Treasury yields can make it more attractive. Dollar weakness can make gold cheaper for buyers using other currencies. Rate expectations, investment flows and safe-haven demand can also matter. These relationships are context, not proof of what caused a particular move.
Compare observation dates: intraday dollar context uses EUR/USD and gold over the same hour. It is one currency pair, not a dollar index. The Fed broad dollar index and Treasury yields are daily observations published with a delay. They cannot explain every intraday move. Check the News tab for reporting and upcoming US announcements.
Gold is priced in US dollars per troy ounce.
Each candle covers the time interval selected on the chart. Green means the price closed above its opening price; red means it closed below. The thin lines show the highest and lowest prices in that interval.
Try a longer interval to see more context. The chart and the live quote can differ because they use different data sources.
Bullish means an upward lean; bearish means a downward lean. This is context for your decision, not an instruction to trade.
